SLE versions add OnStar, heated exterior mirrors, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and an 8-inch touchscreen audio system with six speakers. The SLT trim includes heated leather front seats, steering wheel mounted audio controls, a remote starter, dual-zone climate control, power adjustable pedals and power-folding mirrors.

Denali versions come in only one trim level and in crew cab and short-bed. Regardless of bed-length, the Sierra Denali includes an 8-inch color touch screen, 10-way power driver seat, heated driver/front passenger seats, a rear-camera mirror, a surround view camera system, MultiPro tailgate, power retractable side steps and wheels up to 20 inches in size. The 2019 GMC Sierra 1500 rests upon an entirely new platform this year. It's longer, has more interior space, and shows off a handsome exterior facelift that further differentiates itself in a meaningful way from its counter-part the Chevy Silverado. Exclusive features include adaptive dampeners, a split folding tailgate, a carbon fiber cargo box, and C-shaped lighting elements to name just a few. The Crew cabs longer wheelbase makes way for 3 more inches of leg room in the back seat. All trims are built on a lighter frame and suspension components with aluminum hood and door panels saves 360 pounds over its predecessor. Also new for 2019 is Dynamic Fuel Management, which is designed to fine-tune the balance between efficiency and power demand. It lets the engine operate anywhere between two and eight cylinders depending on load.

The GMC Sierra derives a lot of value from being extremely customizable. Even in its most basic form, the Sierra feels upscale, but still extremely capable. With a base price of around $37,000, it's affordable enough that owners will feel comfortable using the truck in the utilitarian way it was intended. Furthermore, updates to the MultiPro tailgate and Prograde Trailering system are a real game-changer in this competitive truck market. Denali editions start at around $67,000 and offer plenty of luxury for those who want a truck that can both work hard and coddle its occupants.
