1. Will my email address change?
No, our email address will remain the same.
2. Will my saved folders transfer over to the new account?
Yes, Office 365 is going to migrate over the folders in your email account if using a web browser. If you are using a 3rd party application, ie Outlook, then an email will be sent with instructions.
3. What will happen the day we go live?
You will need to go to a new URL that will be provided and log in with the same credentials you are currently using.
4. Why do I need to change my password now?
Our new email exchange server requires a more secure password than the legacy version we are on. If you change your password now you will not be on the HIT list of users locked out on the cutover day. An admin will have to reset, keep in mind, there are 575 of you and only 3 Admins.
5. What are the Password requirements?

6. What about my mobile device?
If it was set up as an IMAP then it should still work. If it was setup as a pop account you will have to change the account to an IMAP. Add a new mail account using the Microsoft Exchange option, enter email and password and it is automatically set up.
However, POP accounts will not retain data.
7. Will I stop getting the phishing emails with links to malware or viruses?
NO. You still must be diligent in NOT opening emails you are not expecting. The name of the person sending may LOOK familiar but be slightly different, ie [email protected] or [email protected].
If they have been hacked because their browser wandered to an MSN story about a kitten with 2 heads befriending a 3 legged pony, it may be their real email address, Pay attention. and kindly tell them to......change their password of course.
If there is a password included to open the file.....thats a dead giveaway something is wrong, delete the email.
If the email is asking you to go buy giftcards, delete the email. If you already bought them..I'll take them off your hands.
If the email is asking you to verify your Go Daddy email account, delete the email.
If you are holding customer's personal data in your files you are putting their identity at risk, delete it.
8. What if I use Outlook on my desktop, what do I do?
Outlook Migration Assistant Reminder
All of our users will be prompted via email to download the Outlook Migration Assistant (no longer available after Feb 28th). The assistant automatically moves your email and settings over to your new account, and is the best way to ensure a smooth migration experience. Please, all PC users to do this as soon as possible if you are using a desktop application. This is not available for Mac users. This will run in the background of your pc so all of your data is migrated over until the cutover day.
